LANSINGBURGH, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- A Brooklyn man has been found guilty of second-degree murder, according to the Rensselaer County District Attorney's Office. Isaiah Williams, 25, was convicted by a jury on July 21. Get the latest news, weather, sports and entertainment delivered right to your inbox! Williams, alongside Antwaun Twitty, 34, of Burlington, VT, and Idelisse Armstead, 27, of Brooklyn, were all charged in the death of 18-year-old Beyonce Wint, of New York City. Wint was found shot in the head early in the morning on September 17, 2019 on 4th Avenue in Lansingburgh. Armstead and Twitty, who were also charged with second-degree murder as accomplices to Williams, pled their cases in favor of cooperation, the two eventually pleading guilty to first-degree manslaughter. Twitty was sentenced to 10 years in prison, while Armstead was sentenced to 5 years in prison, with both of them receiving 5 years post release supervision. TROY, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- Troy Police announced a multi-unit, NYS GIVE-funded operation that resulted in the arrest of two individuals. On Tuesday evening, officers observed a group of individuals commit violations in the area of 7th Avenue and Glen Avenue. When police tried to interview them, two fled on foot. They were captured and taken into custody.Police say the two had illegal ghost guns with extended magazines. Isaiah A. Alvarez, 19, of Troy, was charged with criminal possession of a weapon in the second degree, criminal possession of a weapon in the third degree, and obstructing governmental administration. OVERLAND, Mo. - A suspect accused of fatally shooting an Overland man earlier this week is behind bars. The Major Case Squad of Greater St. Louis announced the arrest Friday of Gavon Simmons, 26, in connection with the death of Gersain Rugerio-Rodriguez, 28. Prosecutors have charged Simmons with first-degree murder and armed criminal action. A woman was killed, and a man was sent to the hospital following a fire at a residence in Ventura. According to the Ventura Fire Department, firefighters responded to the single-family home around 8:45 a.m. Friday. Authorities did not immediately reveal the home’s exact location. ALAMEDA — Human remains were found Thursday afternoon along the shoreline near the Bay Farm Island Bridge, police said Friday.The remains were found about 3:30 p.m. Thursday after someone called police to report an object in the water.Police responded and confirmed it was human remains, but have not said if it was a complete or partial body.Police also have not said how long they believe the remains were in the water before being found.The remains were removed from the shoreline by the Alameda County Coroner’s Office.Both police and the coroner’s office are conducting investigations and will try and identify the person and determine how they died.Alameda police are reviewing missing person reports from throughout the area to see if there are any possible connections, authorities said.Anyone with information about the remains is asked to call Alameda police at 510-337-8340.Latest news
