2-time world champion Doyle Brunson, called the Godfather of Poker, dies at 89 LAS VEGAS (AP) — Doyle Brunson, one of the most influential poker players of all time and a two-time world champion, died Sunday, according to his agent.Brunson was 89.Brian Balsbaugh, Brunson’s agent, posted a statement on Twitter from the family.“It is with a heavy heart we announce the passing of our father, Doyle Brunson,” the statement read. “He was a beloved Christian man, husband, father and grandfather. We’ll have more to say over the coming days as we honor his legacy. Please keep Doyle and our family in your prayers. Car and service dogs stolen from Lakewood couple LAKEWOOD, Colo. (KDVR) -- A Lakewood couple said their car was stolen with their two dogs inside Saturday. Paris Ralston and her husband Jimmy Holwuttle, both work as DoorDash drivers. They were inside the Big Daddy's Pizza location on Wadsworth Avenue picking up an order just after 7 p.m. when their blue 2017 Ford Focus Titanium was taken, with their two dogs in the back. There are a few distinguishing features on the car, like a ding on the passenger side door and a “My Nissan Denver” dealership sticker on the back. (KDVR) -- The Stegmueller family is hoping to get the word out about a terminal disease this brain cancer awareness month.The family is counting their blessings, happy to be home this Mother’s Day. “To be here on Mother’s Day, all of us, in our own house, where we don’t have to worry about getting to the doctor or flights, it’s relaxing. It’s so nice,” Kristin Stegmueller said. Kristin’s daughter, Mary, has Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Gliomas (DIPG), a rare form of pediatric brain cancer.
