WIMBERLEY, Texas (KXAN) — Blue Hole Regional Park in Wimberley has closed for swimming for the next two weeks because of low water levels. The park posted about the closure on its Facebook page Monday evening, saying the closure was effective starting Monday at 6 p.m. and for the next two weeks. EARTH CITY, Mo. - Two people were taken to nearby hospitals, including a Bridgeton police officer, after an overnight crash on Interstate 70 in Earth City.Everything unfolded during a traffic stop and involved a driver hitting a Bridgeton police cruiser. Authorities said a 28-year-old Bridgeton police officer was taken to a nearby hospital after suffering injuries. ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. - One man died from injuries suffered in a north St. Louis County car crash over the weekend, according to the St. Louis County Police Department. Authorities have identified Dorian Noble, 30, as the victim. Next of kin has been notified. The crash happened around 3 a.m. last Friday near the intersection of Shackelford and Wiethaupt roads. OAKLAND — A 60-year-old man was fatally shot Monday afternoon in East Oakland, the city’s fourth homicide in two days, authorities said.The man’s name was not immediately released.The shooting happened about 4:58 p.m. Monday in the 4200 block of Jensen Street near High Street.The man was standing outside when he was confronted by at least one other man, who shot him before fleeing, authorities said. The wounded man died at the scene.Investigators were still working to determine a motive. No arrests were announced.The killing is the 72nd homicide investigated by Oakland police this year and the fourth fatal shooting in the city since Sunday. None of the four killings appear to be related, authorities said.
